Historical Moment
“Democracy arises out of the notion that those who are equal in any respect are equal in all respects; because men are equally free, they claim to be absolutely equal.” - Aristotle
I wish I could have witnessed the ordinary citizens of Athens revolt against the tyranny of Isagoras. They pushed their bodies for days, up Acropolis, to banish Isagrous and his spartan ally Cleomenes. The Athenian people, in this single moment, fought for the later created idea of Democracy.
